Justin Shaw is an actor and comedian originally from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Shaw is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada’s Acting Program, and is a past performer in Vagabond Productions, the University of Prince Edward Island’s resident theatre company. As a theatre artist, Shaw has been featured in Edmonton’s Nextfest Arts Festial, the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo’s igNIGHT Festival, and was one of the RMWB’s Artists in Residence. Recent theatre credits include Salt-Water Moon (The Guild Summer Festival 2019), Culture Shock (Lorne Elliott), and The Wrestling Play.
Shaw also has a background in arts administration, education, and marketing coordination. From 2017-19, Shaw served as Artistic Director of Alberta independent theatre company Theatre; Just Because, overseeing artistic programming and community partnerships. Shaw also has worked with the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts overseeing various youth theatre programming. Adept at marketing, Shaw also spent two years working for Some Other Solutions - a mental health non-profit, helping to build their presence through social media campaigns and fundraisers within the community.
Shaw currently lives in Hamilton, ON with his partner Diana and their dog Phoebe.
